Andrew Conaghan is a Fellow of the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) and a certified Professional Compliance Officer (CPCO). As the President and Chief Operating Officer of Vertex Pain Physicians, he brings over 30 years of direct experience in healthcare operations. His leadership is driven by a passion for delivering efficient, patient-centered care that makes a real difference.

Originally from Scotland, Andrew began his distinguished career in the Royal Air Force Medical Branch, where his exceptional service earned him recognition in Queen Elizabeth II’s New Year’s Honors List. After retiring with honor, he relocated to the United States in 2008 to further his career in healthcare leadership.

Andrew’s academic achievements are notable; he holds postgraduate degrees in Business, Leadership, and Management, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Having studied in both England and the United States, he brings a unique global perspective to his work, finding innovative ways to deliver cost-effective, high-quality healthcare solutions. His talent for optimizing operations ensures that every patient receives world-class, compassionate care.

Before moving to San Antonio, Andrew served as Chief Operating Officer for a pain management organization in Georgia. His dedication to advancing excellence in patient care and fostering service-driven cultures has been a hallmark of his career.

When not leading transformative change in healthcare, Andrew enjoys spending time with his family, supporting his church community, and playing golf. Whether in the office or on the golf course, his commitment to integrity and excellence is evident in all he does.
