Dr. Justin Vigil was born and raised in Santa Fe New Mexico. In 1994 he graduated from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas then attended the University of New Mexico School of Medicine from 1994–1998. He continued with his Anesthesiology Residency at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine from 1998–2002.
He completed his Pain Fellowship at University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio from 2002–2003 and began a successful anesthesiology practice in San Antonio in 2003.
Having a sub-specialty certification in Pain Management, he then made the decision to devote the practice solely to pain management. He performs many diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. He has a special interest in the technique of radio frequency ablation and peripheral field and spinal cord stimulators.
His wife, Elizabeth, is a teacher and both have been blessed with four children. He is committed to education and serves as a school board president at his children’s school. He is also involved in his children’s activities and coaches’ football, basketball, and soccer. His hobbies are diverse and include mountain biking, music, and reading. His greatest joy is spending time with his family.
